Recognition

Service that opened hearts.

Recognition has followed years of practical service, but the real story remains the relationships and shared work behind every honor.

Classic Woman of the Year nomination

Congratulations to our founder, Evelyn Castellar.

Evelyn was nominated for Classic Woman of the Year in recognition of her charitable work in Honduras through Projecto Honduras and the Clinic of Angels.

The nomination honored a commitment built through years of returning, listening, and helping connect families with practical medical care and community support.

La Ceiba, January 2016

A key that opens hearts.

In January 2016, Evelyn received a call from the Mayor's office in La Ceiba. City leaders wanted to recognize Projecto Honduras for its service and impact in the surrounding community.

During the presentation, Evelyn was surprised with the Key to the City. When her young daughters later asked what the key opened, she gave them an answer that captured the spirit of the work.

“It opens hearts!”

The purpose continues

Recognition matters most when it carries the work forward.
