Visiting Eye Surgeons Perform More Than 120 Surgeries

Over the past two weeks, Projecto Honduras welcomed two eye surgeons who traveled to Honduras to provide much-needed surgical eye care. Working from Projecto Honduras facilities, the team completed more than 120 procedures for patients experiencing vision loss and other serious eye conditions. For many patients, access to specialized eye surgery can be difficult or simply out of reach. These procedures provided an opportunity to restore sight, correct vision problems, and improve everyday life for individuals and families in the communities we serve. The success of this surgical visit reflects the impact that skilled medical volunteers, local partners, and Projecto Honduras supporters can make when they work together. More than 120 surgeries represent more than a number—they represent people who can see more clearly, return to daily activities, and experience greater independence.
